UK-style bidder onboarding: create your account, confirm your address, upload photo ID and proof of address. Staff approve documents before Place bid unlocks.

Step 1 — Account & buyer type

Choose how you will buy. Trade buyers can add a company name (insurance certificate can be uploaded later from My account).

Date of birth You must be 18 or over to register to bid. Company / trading name Email Password At least 8 characters.

Mobile / phone

Choose your country prefix, then enter the number without the leading 0.

Step 2 — Residential address

Must match your proof of address. Used for invoices and vehicle registration after purchase.

Step 3 — Photo ID

Upload one clear document showing your full name, photograph and date of birth.

UK photocard driving licence (full or provisional)
EU / government photo ID card
Northern Ireland Electoral ID / firearms licence

Photo ID file JPG, PNG or PDF · max 10MB

Step 4 — Proof of address

Document must show your name and the address from step 2. Ideally issued within the last 3 months (council tax up to 12 months).

Bank / building society / credit card statement
Utility bill (gas, electric, water, landline, broadband)
Council tax statement
Mortgage statement or tenancy agreement

Step 5 — Terms I confirm that bids and Buy Now purchases are legally binding and that if I win I will complete payment, including the 10% buyer's premium on hammer price (+ VAT where due). I accept the Terms, Privacy and Cookie policies of MOTOR CARS AUCTIONS LIMITED.
